About Joshua Radner

Josh immigrated to Durham from the United States in 2019 and worked as a supply teacher until joining the OASES team in November 2021. He is a qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years teaching experience in classrooms in the US. As a primary school science specialist for fourteen years, he became an expert on using the schoolyard and school garden to make science concepts accessible to children. As school sustainability coordinator, he led student groups to transform the culture of the school towards greener practises. Josh is excited about supporting schools to use their outdoor environments to grow food, reconnect children with nature, and as a resource for teaching across the curriculum.
