About Hannah Turner
Hannah has a BSc (Hons) Zoology degree from Newcastle University, with a particular focus on Conservation and Animal Behaviour. During her time at university she volunteered at Northumberland College Zoo and produced educational material for them to use. After graduating in 2018, Hannah worked with schools across the country, before working as a SEND teaching assistant and then training to become a qualified teacher. Whilst completing her teaching qualification she was able to incorporate outdoor learning into her teaching and saw the benefits that it brought to her students both academically and personally.
Hannah has a particular interest in getting more young people out and about, exploring nature and helping bring the curriculum outside into the local environment.
