Working alongside Artichoke, the producers of Durham’s Lumiere, OASES was working with County Durham schools to produce a fantastic illuminated display, based on the patterns found in nature in the telescopic and microscopic scales.
The following Co. Durham Schools learned about patterns in all different scales; galaxies and milky ways to cells and atoms.

Using Perspex disks and brightly coloured Sharpies, the children took inspiration from these patterns and each created their own design. These were then strung together and displayed as part of the Durham Lumiere 2017.
