Low Carbon Charter Mark

OASES has secured funding from Sunderland City Council to support 8 schools with progress towards their Low Carbon Charter Mark. OASES is offering 8 half day workshops enabling the participating schools to experience a range of sessions including:

  • Guided Sustainability/Climate Audits
  • Carbon Footprint calculations
  • Developing a Climate Action Plan
  • Decarbonisation
  • Adaptation and Resilience
  • Introduction to Climate Education
  • Sustainable/Active Transport
  • Reducing Energy Use (including accessing School Utilities Data)
  • Changing Consumption Habits
  • Food Growing
  • Composting
  • Reducing Water Use
  • Encouraging Re-use and Recycling
  • Making Practical Biodiversity Improvements in the School Grounds
  • Green Futures, STEM

Schools can choose from the sessions listed above for any of their classes and OASES will adapt the content accordingly.
