Stranded on Treasure Island: Survival Skills

Imagine you’ve been shipwrecked and stranded on a mysterious treasure island! Join us for an exciting outdoor survival session where pupils will learn the skills they need to stay safe, work together and find their way through a series of island challenges.

Through a range of practical activities and team challenges (including making a sand anchor and using it to create a den, knot tying, building a raft and water filtration), pupils will explore basic survival skills and problem-solving while using their imagination to take on the role of stranded adventurers while working as a team.

This engaging outdoor session encourages young people to work as part of a group, develop confidence and learn practical skills while having fun in a treasure island adventure.

What pupils will learn

• Basic survival skills and how to stay safe outdoors
• How to use natural materials and resources in a survival situation
• How to work together to solve problems and complete challenges
• How to build confidence through practical, hands-on activities
