Use your National Education Nature Park funding with us to design and install a green oasis in a ‘grey’ area of your school grounds. Find out if your school is eligible for the funding here. We can design and build a new garden, and your pupils can get involved!
A school garden is a valuable resource for helping children and youth to engage practically with the world around them, to connect with nature and to get active. It can be used to deliver the curriculum, to aid social and emotional development and to encourage healthy eating.
OASES has been assisting North East schools with their gardens for over twenty-five years. Our project officers have deep experience in horticulture, primary and secondary teaching, and school garden design, including accreditations through Learning Through Landscapes and the Royal Horticultural Society.
OASES has a commitment to use eco-friendly materials including; FSC certified, locally grown and processed timber; locally produced, 100% peat free PAS 100 compost; plants from local nurseries, including from Lionmouth Rural Centre CIC.
